Jaguar looks at Panther, sees power and beauty,
Panther scans the jungle, feels anger and fear.
Jaguar beside Panther, feels love like the ocean,
Panther looks away, thinks 'don't leave me alone'.
Jaguar sits quietly, feels his heart beating wildly,
Too scared to approach, lest he scare her away.
Panther is coiled, eyes flash green at the danger,
Hysterical thoughts wondering how to defend.
Jaguar is patient, he knows they have lifetimes,
He basks in their union of rose quartz and gold.
Panther now softens, lays a paw on him softly,
Feels her heart crack wide open at the warmth of his love.
Many moons later, Panther and Jaguar
walk side by side as their cubs skip along.
Jaguar still patient, and Panther still watchful,
Their past and their future aligned and in song.
Panther sees Jaguar, feels grateful and humble,
That love can be gentle, yet fiery and strong.
It cushions and cradles, caresses and nurtures,
She knows life's not easy, the challenges many,
The path oft obscured by the shroud of your own.
But along for the journey, she's been guided by Jaguar,
Her soul mate who brings forth her beauty unshown.
